The nominations for the 50th ACM Awards were announced earlier this morning, and UMG Nashville’s roster is well represented. The show will broadcast live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX on Sunday, April 19th 2015 at 8pm ET on CBS.
Dierks Bentley leads the UMG Nashville roster with seven nominations—the second-highest of all ACM Awards nominees. Coming off a sky-high year, Bentley has been nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year. “Drunk on a Plane” also picked up two nominations for Single Record of the Year and Video of the Year, and “I Hold On” earned Bentley another two nominations for Song of the Year, as he co-wrote the single with Brett James.
Luke Bryan received a total of four nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, for the third year in a row. He also received nominations for Song of the Year with “Drink A Beer” and Vocal Event of the Year with “This Is How We Roll” in collaboration with Florida-Georgia Line.
Eric Church received four nominations, in the categories of Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for his platinum selling The Outsiders, and two nominations as both an artist and songwriter for the album’s first single, “Give Me Back My Hometown.”
Little Big Town is nominated in the categories of Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year with their October 2014 release, Pain Killer.
Kacey Musgraves received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Follow Your Arrow”, which she co-wrote with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.
Lady Antebellum picked up a nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, and Brothers Osborne received a nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year.
Keith Urban’s music video for his hit single, “Cop Car” was named one of the nominees for Music Video of the Year.
