“Roller Coaster” Becomes 11th Career No. 1
Capitol recording artist Luke Bryan is on the ride of his life as his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” is one of the top selling tours on the road this year and his latest single, “Roller Coaster,” just hit the No. 1 spot. The song becomes Luke’s eleventh career No. 1 song and was written by two long-time friends Michael Carter and Cole Swindell.
“Roller Coaster” is the fifth consecutive No. 1 single from Luke’s Double-Platinum selling Crash My Party album. The additional No. 1 songs are “That’s My Kind of Night,” “Crash My Party,” “Drink A Beer,” and “Play It Again.” Luke’s Crash My Party album is currently nominated for “Album of the Year” at the upcoming CMA Awards.
Since the debut of his first album in 2007, Luke has sold nearly 6.4 million albums and 24.9 million digital tracks from his four studio albums. Earlier this year, Luke made Billboard chart history by reaching the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with “Play It Again” and “This Is How We Roll” with Florida Georgia Line claiming the No. 2 spot. Luke becomes the first artist to ever hold the two top positions since the chart began in 1990.
Luke’s “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” is currently playing across the US and Canada, selling out all concerts to date including four sold-out stadiums shows this summer playing to 225,000 fans.
Luke is scheduled to perform on the “48th Annual CMA Awards” on Nov. 5 and is also nominated for two additional CMA Awards- “Entertainer of the Year” and “Male Vocalist.”
