Stream the Country Superstar’s Performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” HERE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 31, 2025) – Today, four-time, Grammy®-nominated artist Mickey Guyton announces the release of her powerful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” from Super Bowl LVI, available now on all streaming platforms HERE.
The announcement coincides with the three-year anniversary of Guyton’s national anthem that took place ahead of the Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl matchup in 2022. At the time, Rolling Stone lauded Guyton’s performance, writing that she “showed off her massive range in the rendition — starting the song high, and soaring ever higher as her accompaniment filled in.”
“I still get chills thinking about that moment,” Guyton says. “I mean, getting to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl like so many iconic artists before me? Wow! It’s something that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I’ll be forever grateful for that opportunity.”
Guyton’s national anthem performance and Super Bowl LVI were seen by an average of 112.3 million viewers, according to NBC. Since then, the landmark performance at Super Bowl LVI has led Guyton to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” on several other national mainstages including the World Series, the U.S. Open women’s championship match, and the NBA Cup, among others.
Most recently, Guyton delivered a show-stopping performance on CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. She also sang John Lennon’s “Imagine” as the final Times Square performer before the ball dropped to bring in the New Year.
In Sept. 2024, Mickey released her critically acclaimed album, House On Fire, which included standout singles such “Scary Love,” “Make It Me,” and “My Side of the Country.” Stream the album HERE.
