Music industry guests were treated to a special event at the downtown Bridge Building yesterday afternoon, celebrating Luke Bryan and the achievement of four consecutive #1 singles from his Crash My Party album. The singles — “Crash My Party” (written by Rodney Clawson and Ashley Gorley), “That’s My Kinda Night” (written by Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson and Chris DeStefano), “Drink A Beer,” (written by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton), and “Play It Again” (written by Ashley Gorley and Dallas Davidson) — have collectively sold over 9 million tracks, and combined have spent 25 weeks as the #1 most-downloaded song in country music. Bryan was also surprised by UMG Nashville Chairman & CEO Mike Dungan, who presented him with a plaque recognizing Crash My Party‘s double Platinum status, just ten months after its release. The album also ended 2013 as the #1 country album sold and the #3 most purchased album for all genres, behind only Justin Timberlake and Eminem.
