(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – As he gears up for tonight’s first concert on his Last Call: One More for the Road TourAlan Jackson reveals good friend Lee Ann Womack will join him as his special guest at upcoming shows in Grand Rapids, MI (Saturday, August 24 at Van Andel Arena) and Fayetteville, AR (Saturday, September 28 at Bud Walton Arena).

The two artists have a long-established appreciation for each other. She has lent vocals to his recorded music on more than one occasion, and they have paired up onstage for a variety of memorable moments over the years…singing the George Jones-Tammy Wynette classic “Golden Ring” at a Grand Ole Opry birthday celebration for Jones…“Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” as part of an Academy of Country Music salute to Loretta Lynn…and she once joined him onstage as a surprise guest when he headlined a special concert at Carnegie Hall.

Womack, of course, is known for her signature song – the multi- award-winning international hit, “I Hope You Dance.” Her passion for music can be traced to her father, a radio DJ…but her reputation as one of country music’s most-respected voices is hers alone. She is a six-time CMA Award winner…a four-time ACM Award winner…and has earned a pair of Grammy Awards, one of them shared with no less a legend than Willie Nelson. A perennial fan favorite, Womack is a recipient of ASCAP’s Golden Note Award…an honor she has in common with Jackson.

“Some of the best times are had right at last call, and this is one last call that you don’t want to miss!” Jackson stated early this summer when announcing his return to the road. The addition of Lee Ann Womack to his list of special guests – which is led by multi-platinum hitmaker Chris Young – solidifies Jackson’s intent to give concertgoers performances they will never forget.

Jackson’s Last Call: One More for the Road Tour will find the three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year thrilling audiences as fans relive hits like “Chattahoochee” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” night-after-night. The tour begins tonight – Friday, August 2 – at TD Garden in Boston, MA with special guest Chris Young. All stops on the tour mark the last time Jackson will ever perform his more-than-30 years of hits in that city, offering one final chance for people to see and hear the iconic singer-songwriter in concert.

Additional special guests on Jackson’s Last Call: One More for the Road Tour will be announced in coming weeks. Singer-songwriter James Carothers, who got his start at AJ’s Good Time Bar (the multi-level honky-tonk Jackson owns and operates in Nashville), will also appear.
