Pardi’s eagerly-awaited album Heartache Medication arrived on Friday to overwhelming critical-acclaim lauding him as an artist with an impressive ability to carve out his own path and one that “…could very well be a long-lasting mark on the genre…” (Music Row). “Pardi’s evolved approach to country’s heritage sets him apart at a moment when Nashville seems to want to divide itself into the trailblazers and the preservationists.” – Los Angeles Times
“Name-checking his country-music heroes like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard, the California native places himself in the same lineage — both as preservationist and rule-breaker.” – Rolling Stone Country
“Jon Pardi cut a path through modern country’s
embrace of pop, hip-hop and EDM…” – The New York Times
“The influence of legends like Alan Jackson and George Strait permeate Heartache Medication, filled with clever lyrical twists and dancehall ready romps…” – Music Row
