DIERKS BENTLEY TOPS THE CHARTS WITH “DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS” (FEAT. ELLE KING) AND CLAIMS 15TH CAREER NO. ONE HIT

“Stand Out Track” Resonates With Fans And Earns GOLD Certification By The RIAA

Hailed as “King of the Breakup Song,” Dierks Bentley notches his 15th career No. One with the thought-provoking “Different for Girls” (featuring Elle King) on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts this week. Dubbed as a stand out track by The New York Times, Rolling Stone, PEOPLE and StereoGum, the CMA nominated song simultaneously strikes GOLD certification by the RIAA and becomes the second consecutive No. One hit off his critically acclaimed album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville).

“This is one of those ‘once-in-a-career’ songs, and I’m so glad we decided to take a risk and release it as a single,” said Bentley. “I wish I had documented the life of this song from when I heard the demo for the first time, to calling up Elle and flying to Austin to record with her, to seeing it grow and become a giant part of our live show. Being part of Elle’s first No. One country song is a really cool thing too. She ‘celebrates’ every day, but this actually gives us a real excuse to have some cocktails and toast all the people who helped give this song such an incredible life – from the songwriters to Country radio to the fans!”

Known for “traveling his own path…Country music’s most relatable star” (Esquire) shows his depth and diversity as an artist with four CMA nominations in the Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of The Year, Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year categories. Bentley will bring the “foot-stomping, fist-pumping good time” (Arizona Republic) of his 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR across the northwest this weekend (9/22 in Puyallip, WA; 9/23 in Kennewick, WA; 9/24 in Missoula, MT). The tour was recently extended into the fall with arena dates scheduled through the end of October. For more information and a full list of tour dates, visit www.dierks.com.
