COUNTRY SUPERSTAR ALAN JACKSON GETS NEW “BIRTHDAY WHISKEY” AS HE CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY

Country Music Icon’s Silverbelly Whiskey Unveils Special “Birthday Whiskey”

New Release to Become an Annual Tradition

(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – Birthdays are always reason for celebration…and celebrations are always reason for a toast. Country music superstar Alan Jackson gets to combine all of that today – October 17 – with the announcement of the first annual allocated Silverbelly “Birthday Whiskey” offering!

Country Music Hall of Fame and global Songwriter Hall of Fame member Alan Jackson was born in rural Newnan, Georgia on October 17, 1958. 66 years later, he’s a part of modern American music history, a status earned through decades of hit songs and best-selling albums, sold-out concert performances in front of millions, and too many industry accolades to list.

Today – on his 66th birthday, as Alan celebrates all of that – anyone who appreciates straight bourbon whiskey can celebrate, too. The first Silverbelly “Birthday Whiskey” is a 6.6 year old, 101.7 proof straight bourbon whiskey (6.6 to match his 66th birthday, 101.7 to match the 10/17 date) that’ll be produced in an extremely limited release of just 1958 bottles (corresponding with the year he was born).

Silverbelly “Birthday Whiskey” – a highly unique mash bill of 66% corn, 29% rye and 5% barley distilled, aged and bottled in the hills of Tennessee – will be available online (silverbellywhiskey.com) and in select markets. Bottles are available for presale now and will ship in early November.

Silverbelly Whiskey – named for the iconic color of Jackson’s signature Stetson – combines two American traditions…whiskey and country music…to create spirits worthy of honoring Jackson’s historic career. Each of Silverbelly’s batches (four to date) is named in chronological order for the 35 chart-topping songs that have defined Jackson’s career. It’s available via over a thousand retailers in many states, and online in still more and the United Kingdom. Silverbelly is the presenting sponsor of Alan’s “Last Call: One More for the Road” Tour, which is playing to standing-room-only audiences nationwide (dates, details and tickets are available at alanjackson.com/last-call-tour) this fall and into the coming year.
