BRANDON LAY GOES “BACK HOME” WITH NEW SONG OUT TODAY (10/1)

EMI Records Nashville artist Brandon Lay cranks up the country nostalgia with a brand-new song, “Back Home,” out today. Putting small towns back on the map, the high-energy honky tonker sets the scene for when “love was sweet and life was good.” “Back Home” was written by Lay with Lynn Hutton, and produced by Jonathan Singleton.

“This song has always been a favorite for my band and me to play live,” shares Lay. “I hope fans relate to it, and enjoy listening to it as much as I did writing it. I’m excited to finally release it into the world!”

“Back Home” follows the July release of the smooth-driving power ballad “Broke.” Both tracks serve as a first look at a batch of new songs to come from Lay, hardwired to the fundamentals of his live show – part rock ‘n’ roll heat and part country heart.

Recently wrapping a string of shows supporting Jameson Rodgers on the COLD BEER CALLING MY NAME TOUR, Lay will hit the Midwest for a pair of tour stops in Omaha, NE (10/22) and McCook, NE (10/23).

About Brandon Lay

A country singer/songwriter with a rock & roll spirit, EMI Records Nashville’s Brandon Lay was born and raised in Jackson, Tenn., halfway between two of music’s most influential cities. “You were hearing out of each ear: rock & roll and R&B to the west in Memphis, and country to the east in Nashville,” says Brandon. Called “A country-rock version of Bruce Springsteen” (Rolling Stone), Brandon previously hit the airwaves with “Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers,” “Yada Yada Yada,” and “For My Money.” Turning the ignition on a fresh new batch of songs with “Broke” and latest release “Back Home,” each is soaked in his rowdy, roadhouse-rocking roots, and delivered with a sense of confident freedom that only comes from getting back to the basics. Brandon is an avid road warrior, having toured with some of country’s biggest artists including Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Old Dominion, Brantley Gilbert, Cole Swindell and Eli Young Band.
