DIERKS BENTLEY AMPLIFIES UNIVERSAL MESSAGE BEHIND 19TH NO. ONE HIT “LIVING”

Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley celebrated the chart-topping success behind the universal message and poignant lyrics radiating throughout his gratitude-filled 19th No. One hit “Living” at Nashville’s Superica restaurant today (12/5). Dubbed “the heart of” (Billboard) his ninth studio album THE MOUNTAIN, the anthemic track has become a mantra for all while serving as a reflection of Bentley’s own personal journey to appreciate life’s everyday moments. “Living” is the third consecutive chart-topper off his critically acclaimed No. One record, following the two back-to-back consecutive No. One hits, “Woman, Amen” and “Burning Man.” Hosted by ASCAP and BMI, Bentley was joined by his son and “Living” music video co-star Knox, as well as co-writers Ross Copperman (BMI), Ashley Gorley (ASCAP), Jon Nite (ASCAP) and producer Arturo Buenahora.

“This is it. This is the end of THE MOUNTAIN. It was a journey that started during a trip to Colorado with incredible songwriters where we unplugged for days and just had so much fun,” Bentley said. “To have three songs off this album go number No. One that are so meaningful to me is something special. If I were to do a writer’s night tomorrow I would play all three of those songs…these songs guided me to where my life is now.”

Pegged as “one of Country music’s most enviable brands, equal parts affability and authenticity” (Forbes), Bentley continues to be a dominant voice for the genre with over 6.4 billion overall digital streams. Reaching a new creative high while “making music designed to challenge” (New York Times), Bentley co-wrote 10 of 13 tracks on THE MOUNTAIN, which earned him the highest debut sales of his career and became his seventh chart-topping album. He’s known to deliver “the most thoughtful, complete collections in Country music” (USA Today) as his latest album is unified by themes of presence and positivity, and ranges in style from textured rock to acoustic folk, feeling both rooted and expansive at the same time.  Over-15-year career, Bentley has amassed countless nominations from the ACMsCMAsBillboard Music Awards, and GRAMMYs. Bentley recently wrapped his 2019 BURNING MAN TOUR as he knew how to precisely engage his audience for more than four hours each night throughout the 55-city run. He was known to deliver two stripped down acoustic sets before reaching deafening sing-alongs as the headliner and with his 90s cover band Hot Country Knights, who has “turned into a sensation” (OC Register). Additionally, Bentley’s Seven Peaks Music Festival returned for the second year this summer in Buena Vista, CO and was stacked with many major performances from other stars, including Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Travis Tritt and more. He has created professional endeavors outside of the music with his Flag & Anthem partnership creating the exclusive lifestyle collection, Desert Son, along with his “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row” franchise hosting five locations, with a new rendering in Denver, CO set for 2020.
