The nominations for the 51st ACM Awards were announced and UMG Nashville’s roster proudly represents over 35 nominations.
Chris Stapleton leads as the top nominated artist with seven overall; including
Male Vocalist of the Year, New Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year with his debut album Traveller –artist & producer and Vocal Event of the Year “Hangover Tonight” with Gary Allan. Chris is also nominated for Song of the Year, “Nobody to Blame” artist and writer.
Luke Bryan received two nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year with his November 2015 release of “Home Alone Tonight” featuring Karen Fairchild.
Eric Church received the second highest nominations with six overall. The six nominations include Entertainer of the Year,Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year with his surprise album release of Mr. Misunderstood in November, Video of the Year (“Mr. Misunderstood”); Vocal Event of the Year “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban and Song of the Year “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban-artist.
Dierks Bentley comes in with two nominations; one for Male Vocalist of the Year and the other for Video of the Year “Riser”.
Kacey Musgraves is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year “Biscuits”. While Brothers Osborne is nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year and New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year with their chart-topping debut of ‘Pawn Shop’.
Little Big Town received five ACM nominations this year. With the attention-grabber Single of the Year, Video of the Year and Song of the Year for “Girl Crush”. They are also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” in collaboration with Miranda Lambert. Karen Fairchild also received Vocal Event of the Year nomination with “Home Alone Tonight” with Luke Bryan.
One of UMG Nashville newest artists, Mickey Guyton is nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year.
Sam Hunt picked up Album of the Year with record-breaking Double Platinum Montevallo. He also is up for Single of the Year “Take Your Time” as it spent nine weeks at Number one on the charts.
Gary Allan is nominated for Vocal Event of the Year, “Hangover Tonight” featuring Chris Stapleton as artist & producer.
Keith Urban brings home three nominations as artist and producer with Song of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year “Raise ‘Em Up” featuring Eric Church.
Eric Paslay’s “She Don’t Love You” is nominated for Song of Year in which he wrote and recorded.
